Each carrier requires your valid portal credentials to be entered in Epic before you can successfully use Real-Time functions. As portal credentials can change from time to time, it is important to also update the credentials within Epic Real-Time
Scenario
You have received an error message in Real-Time indicating Authentication Failed.
Recommended Solution
- Test your carrier credentials first by logging into the carrier's portal/website directly. If successful, proceed to step 2. If unsuccessful, reset your carrier portal password.
- In Epic, navigate to Real-Time>Local Security from within the Locate screen or a client account.
- In the Local Security Options screen, select the desired carrier products (hold SHIFT to select multiple), then click Edit Credentials.
- Enter your user ID and password that you used for the carrier's portal.. Click Update. Repeat for any other carriers/products you wish to update. Click Finish when done.
- Once you have updated your credentials, please notify us at support@insureline.com that you need us to perform an Epic Real-Ttime Account Update.
Notes
- Authentication Failed will always indicate there is an issue with the carrier credentials you have entered in Epic Real-Time
